Salford City - visited August 2019

Welcome to the football grounds website of Mark Chatterton. It is called "Doing the 92 plus a few more" as it includes details of my visits not only to the 92  English and Welsh Football league clubs, but also several defunct league  grounds and non-league grounds. I have been attending football matches for over 40 years now and support both Liverpool (where I was born) and Southend United (where I now live). I completed visiting all 92 English and Welsh Football League grounds on Saturday 23rd April 2011 at Rochdale's Spotland ground. I will be adding details of my visits to all the grounds on this site and the stories of the things that have happened to me on my travels. This includes such experiences as coach breakdowns at Grimsby and Walsall, sitting next to nuns at Chesterfield, being "banned" by Derby County, getting soaked at Burton Albion, touching that famous beach ball at Sunderland, being hugged by Cardiff and standing or should I saying being carried on the Kop at Anfield in the 1970s.

I have completed the 92  several times since that first one in 2011. As of 2021 due to the pandemic I am currently aiming to complete the 92 yet again by the end of the 2021-22 season.
